The Czech Lilmnogical Society is an association of limnological researchers on all levels - scientists, teachers, students - in both theoretical and applied fields. Limnology is a science of continental waters in all its aspects: biological, chemical and physical, both in surface waters and groundwaters. The Society is a memeber of the Council of Scientific Societies of the Czech Republic and the European Federation for Freshwater Sciences (EFFS).
